International Needs Sports Festival
Our first ever disability inclusive Sports Festival in the UK!
Saturday 8th November (11:00- 15:00)
Location: SportsDock, University Of East London, 4-6 University Way, London E16 2RD
Inspired by our partners in Uganda, we’re thrilled to host our first ever UK Sports Festival! This is your exclusive chance to get on the court with Paralympic legend and four-time Paralympian, Amy Conroy.

This event is an amazing opportunity to:
- Hear Amy’s powerful story: Learn about her journey with disability, the challenges of accessibility, and the transformative power of sport.
- Get hands-on: Amy will teach us the fundamentals of wheelchair basketball, from basic drills to an action-packed game.
- Make a difference: Learn about International Needs’ vital disability work in Uganda and help us prepare for our Big Give Christmas Challenge.

Why a Sports Festival?
The Sports Festivals we run in Uganda for disabled children are central to our work empowering disabled children and helping them to flourish and fully participate within their communities. In a society where disability is often misunderstood and seen as a curse, many disabled children face stigma, discrimination and even abandonment. These sports festivals are an opportunity for disabled children to showcase their talent and to have a voice. Using Sport for Change, we are seeing attitudes change and increasing participation of disabled people. You can find out more about this project here.
We hope you will come along and try our first disability inclusive sports festival in the UK!
