Keswick in Devon

Greetings from Keswick in Devon!

For over 5 years now I have been Sponsorship Co-ordinator for International Needs. 18 months ago I moved to Sidmouth in Devon and was delighted to bring my job with me and work from home. It has been a real privilege to be able to represent International Needs in the South West.

On the 5th – 9th March this year All Saint’s Church, Sidmouth, hosted Keswick in Devon, a 5 day event of bible teaching and ministry.  I was thrilled to be asked if IN would set up a mission stand for the week. What an amazing time we had!! Danny was interviewed during one of the morning sessions and gave an engaging presentation one afternoon. The highlight for me was being able to chat with numerous people from all over the country about the work we do with wonderful families across the world.

Voting with Duplo bricks!

It was also interesting to discover people’s thoughts on the various areas of our mission work. We asked this challenging question; “What do you think is the most important thing for a family?” and gave them 6 options to choose from: Church Support, Water, Education, Livelihoods, Human Rights and Health. Each person was only able to choose 1 option and then they could show their vote by adding a brick to the towers – Here are the results:

37% chose Water

21% chose Human Rights

21% chose Education

12% chose Health

9% chose Church Support

0% chose Livelihoods

Which do you think is most important?

I was also overjoyed to welcome 2 new sponsors to the IN Family who both chose to support children through their education in Nepal.

Please do see our Get Involved page on the website if you would like to sponsor a child or support any of our projects.
