Supporting Syrian Refugee Families

Supporting Syrian Refugee Families

The worst refugee crisis since the second world war was created when civil war broke out in Syria in 2011. Today 4.8 million people have fled the country since the conflict erupted 5 years ago. In Egypt almost 300,000 refugees who were able to travel south have taken residence in the country. In Cairo one area has been dubbed “little damascus” as refugees attempt to rebuild their lives.

However, many more refugees struggle to find help and support to meet their basic needs and are living in very cramped conditions. Our team in Egypt are supporting these families in many ways including finding food, income and knowing where you can find a doctor or find a school.  Just reaching out as friends and demonstrating the love of God to families that have suffered a such crisis.
