Surfstage 2024

International Needs UK is delighted to be the official SurfStage charity partner once again, and we hope you have a wonderful time during the event over the weekend of 5-7 July 2024.

We are a Christian charity (regd number 1175526), working in 30+ countries worldwide. As well as a child sponsorship programme, we empower families in some of the world’s most challenging places.

This weekend we’re raising money for a new classroom block at a school in Kiyindi, Uganda. Makonge Primary serves more than 1,000 pupils in an area where schooling can be inaccessible or unaffordable. It’s a big investment – the 1,470m² will cost £225,000. That’s around £150 per square metre.

The good news: every cake you buy from the scrumptious SurfStage cake stall will help us towards our target! As will every sale at the tempting SurfStage tuck shop. So, put the diet on hold for a few hours and indulge in some… BUNdraising?!

In our tent, you can:

• get information about our work in Uganda
• try your strength in our Jerry Can Challenge
• design your ideal school using Lego
• guess how many chocolate beans there are in our jar
• help us towards our target by painting a brick on our ‘school wall’

All money raised this weekend will go to our Kiyindi Classroom appeal, helping hundreds of vulnerable children remain in in education in Uganda.
