Justus Miwanda and Gerald Naluwairo Deputation 2026

Justus and Gerald are coming to the UK in July 2026!

After 22 years of service, Rev. Canon Justus Miwanda has retired from IN Uganda and handed over to Dr. Gerald Naluwairo as his successor. From 2-18th July they will be visiting the UK to reflect on how the ministry in Uganda has grown, and their hopes for the future. We will be travelling with them up to Burscough (near Liverpool), over to Bristol and to hosting events in and around London.

If you can’t make one of the in-person events, make sure to join the online event we have on 9th July.

• 4-5 July
  • Surfstage Festival (Parbold, Lancashire) – Justus and Gerald will be joining our IN team as we host a stall at Surfstage festival. We love being the official charity partner of Surfstage festival, and the opportunity to connect with supporters in the area. Festival details here.
• 5 July
  • 6pm: St. John the Baptist (Burscough, Lancashire) – Rev Justus and Dr Gerald will be speaking at St John’s weekly evening service. Service details here.
• 9 July
  • 7-8pm: ‘Justus Miwanda and Legacy’ – online event with Justus and Gerald, more details and sign up here.
• 12 July – Purley Baptist Church Services – Rev Justus and Dr Gerald will be speaking at all three services at Purley Baptist Church (Purley, South Croydon), church details here.

• 26 July
  • 10:30am: Selsdon Baptist Church (Selsdon, South Croydon) – Rev Justus will be speaking at SBC’s weekly morning service, church details here.
