Walk for Nepal 2017

International Needs “Walk for Nepal” event is approximately a seven mile walk along the River Thames and across some of London’s most famous bridges. We will be joined by Mondo Foundation, Child Rescue Nepal, Bridges Nepal and Many Ogilvy Hands. We will meet at 10am on Saturday 16 September at London Bridge Station. International Needs will have friends from Nepal joining us on the walk so please register your place today.

Who can take part?

Anyone can take part. This event is not just for the super-fit, all you need is some determination and a sense of adventure.

There will be 2 routes, the standard route which is 7 miles, across 7 bridges over the Thames and a lot of steps. And an “Accessible Route” which is 4 miles, step free and suitable for wheelchair and buggy users. We will be making a coffee stop in the morning, a lunch stop and hopefully wind up back at Southwark Cathedral around 3:30pm. All details will be included in the welcome pack.

How much is it?

The cost of taking part is just £15. This includes a Walk for Nepal T-Shirt (while stocks last), a welcome pack including a route map and sponsorship forms.

When registering, we ask that you choose your associated charity and raise as much money as you can to support the people of Nepal. Remember that every penny counts and will make a difference. If you are raising money for International Needs or Many Ogilvy Hands, this money is going directly to support the Livelihoods of families affected by the April 2015 Earthquake and for women to be offered a chance for skills training to help build an income.

The entry fee is not a donation to the work of International Needs, but covers the cost of the T-shirt and the event, meaning that the sponsorship money that you raise can go directly to the charities selected and the help of those who need it.
